UPCYCLED BEANIE WORKSHOP

Bring your favorite beanie and turn it into something completely your own.

In this 3-hour creative upcycling workshop at La Paisa Studio, you'll rework and customize an existing beanie using reclaimed textiles, patches, stitching, and other creative details.

This isn't about everyone making the same thing. You'll create a one-of-a-kind piece that reflects your own style while learning approachable upcycling and sewing techniques along the way.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Depending on your design, you'll explore techniques such as:

• Adding reclaimed fabric and textile details

• Patchwork

• Decorative stitching

• Layering different materials

• Adding patches and appliqué-style details

• Creative placement and composition

• Hand and/or machine-sewn customization

You'll receive guidance throughout the workshop while having the freedom to make your piece your own.

WHAT TO BRING

Bring one beanie that you're comfortable cutting, sewing, and transforming.

Choose something you already own, thrift one before class, or bring a basic beanie you'd like to customize.

La Paisa will provide a curated selection of reclaimed/upcycled materials, sewing machines, studio equipment, basic tools, and supplies for customization.

SKILL LEVEL

Beginner-friendly.

You do not need advanced sewing experience to participate.

If a design requires a technique beyond the scope of the workshop, we'll help you find an approachable way to achieve your idea.

STUDIO POLICIES

Cancellations & Transfers

All class bookings are final sale.

Because seating is extremely limited and materials are prepared in advance, we do not offer refunds for cancellations or missed classes.

If you cannot attend, you may transfer your seat to another person by notifying us at least 24 hours before the class.

If you cancel more than 48 hours before the class, you may request a one-time credit toward a future class, valid for 30 days.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the class start time are not eligible for credit.

No-shows forfeit their seat and payment.

Late Arrivals

Classes begin promptly at the scheduled time.

Guests arriving more than 15 minutes late may not be admitted, as late arrivals can disrupt instruction and project flow.

Safety

All participants must follow studio safety instructions when using sewing machines, tools, irons, and other equipment.

Photo & Video Release

By attending a class or event at our studio, you grant permission for La Paisa to capture photos and video footage during the session for use in marketing, social media, website content, and promotional materials.

We strive to create a welcoming and respectful environment. If you prefer not to appear in photos or videos, please notify us before class begins, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.
