Intro to Sewing is La Paisa Studio's beginner sewing class designed for people with zero sewing experience.

During this 3-hour hands-on class, you'll learn the foundations of using a sewing machine while making your own travel pouch from start to finish.

No machine. No supplies. No experience. We've got you.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

You'll learn the sewing basics you need to start creating with confidence, including:

• How to use a sewing machine

• How to thread your machine

• Winding and loading a bobbin

• Basic machine settings

• Sewing straight seams

• Seam allowances

• Backstitching

• Basic construction techniques

• Finishing your project

You'll practice these skills while constructing your own travel pouch to take home.

STUDIO POLICIES

Cancellations & Transfers

All class bookings are final sale.

Because seating is extremely limited and materials are prepared in advance, we do not offer refunds for cancellations or missed classes.

If you cannot attend, you may transfer your seat to another person by notifying us at least 24 hours before the class.

If you cancel more than 48 hours before the class, you may request a one-time credit toward a future class, valid for 30 days.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the class start time are not eligible for credit.

No-shows forfeit their seat and payment.

Late Arrivals

Classes begin promptly at the scheduled time.

Guests arriving more than 15 minutes late may not be admitted, as late arrivals can disrupt instruction and project flow.

Safety

All participants must follow studio safety instructions when using sewing machines, tools, irons, and other equipment.

Photo & Video Release

By attending a class or event at our studio, you grant permission for La Paisa to capture photos and video footage during the session for use in marketing, social media, website content, and promotional materials.

We strive to create a welcoming and respectful environment. If you prefer not to appear in photos or videos, please notify us before class begins, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.
